Marc Müller: To a Grammar of Nature – Fundamental aspects of the phenomenology of nature with Wittgenstein
“To a Grammar of Nature” is about a methodical foundation of phenomenology in physics education. In this project we use the method of late Ludwig Wittgenstein, which he described as an investigation of the grammar of language, as a prototype for an understanding of the objects of physics. Due to the fact that Wittgenstein developed his method to study philosophical problems of language it has to be transferred from one subject area to another. In respect to that transfer we demonstrate the fruitfulness of a grammatical view with some well-known examples of phenomenological physics as well as with some new ones. In result a phenomenological research in physics can be characterized as a search for the “Grammar of Nature”.
